Hi All,
A protect public health sign was put up in September 2019 by Limerick city and council in the Bruree sportsfield. We ask that all dog owners to clean up after your dog. This field is used by both adults and children in the GAA and students of St. Patrick's National school. Sadly in the last week this has not been followed. A number of dog waste has been left all over the pitch area. We have large numbers of children enjoying gaelic games in our club, so in the interest of health and safety, please clean up and bin your dogs waste. You are responsible to keep your dog or dogs under control.
Note: CCTV Cameras are always in operation both on the dressing rooms and the school and we are now reviewing these.
❗ LAW ON DOG FOULING ❗
Dog waste is very unpleasant, a nuisance and can be a public health issue. Section 22 of the Litter Pollution Act 1997 makes it an offence for a person in charge of a dog not to clean up when their dog fouls in a public place and the faeces must be properly disposed of in a suitable sanitary manner.
