Club referee David Deady the youngest of our referees will be the man in charge of the 2020 Limerick Minor Premier Hurling Championship Final between Mungret St.Pauls and Ballybrown in an all city encounter to be played in the LIT GAELIC GROUNDS on Wednesday evening 16th September at 7.30pm. This is David's second year reffing in Limerick and he's 2nd major County Championship Final. He has refereeed a couple of all county league games and minor championship games to date. He has also done underage matches at U14 and U16 level. David first took up reffing in 2016 shortly after moving to Australia. He Referred mainly men’s and ladies football in Queensland but refereed the Hurling League Final and Championship Final in Queensland in 2017. He's Biggest game to date would be reffing the Australasian Ladies Football Championship Final in Perth in 2017 between Western Australia and Victoria in front of the GAA president Aogán Ó Fearghaíl and the President of Ireland Michael D Higgins. He would take a break from reffing in 2018 but decided to take it up again in 2019. He was referee for the County League Division 1 Hurling Final last November between Na Piarsaigh and Ballybrown and the Minor A Hurling Championship Final between Adare and Murroe Boher last October. David also reffed both Intermediate and Junior A hurling championship matches this year. This is a proud moment for David and he's family and the club.Its been another excellent year for our club referees.We wish David and he's team of Officials the very best of luck next Wednesday evening.
