Club Referees Live On RTE 2 7:30pm
On this Saturday RTE 2 will be showing 2 live Limerick Senior Club Hurling Championship matches. Kilmallock v Ahane is on first followed by the mouth watering clash of 2019 champions Patrickswell and 2019 Semi Finalist Doon.Both games will help determine the line-up for the knockout stages of the Bon Secours Hospital Limerick SHC.Marty Morrissey and former Clare All-Ireland winning captain and manager Anthony Daly will be behind the microphone for this meeting.This match has extra significance for Bruree GAA as the Referee and both Linesmen will be from our Bruree GAA club.John O'Halloran will take charge of the match and John will have massive support on both lines from fellow club referees Mike Sexton and David Deady. John, Mike, David and John's umpires are very experienced and are a brilliant team together and it will also be another memory to look back on for them all.John O'Halloran has done huge club championship matches in both Limerick and Munster and also intercounty championships at Minor and U21 level and All Ireland club championships in recent times and was this year deservedly added to the Senior intercounty Championship Panel of Referees.John's umpires will be he's nephew Ronan O'Halloran, Danny Deady, David O'Brien and John Hurley. Linesmen Mike Sexton and David Deady have also done top matches in all grades in Limerick with Mike having done huge County Finals in both Limerick and in Kerry and has been on the intercounty panel for the last few years having done Minor Intercounty Championship matches.David Deady is on the rise as a young referee as well and has also taken charge of huge matches at all grades in Limerick.Like John and Mike, David has worked hard and is a brilliant upcoming referee for now and the future ahead.Club chairman Brendan Hogan and all the Club officials are very proud of the 3 lads and we wish John, Mike, David and the 4 umpires the very best of luck tomorrow evening.Don't forget to record the match lads.
