It wasn't to be our day but the lads gave it everything they had. They have been excellent all year and have put so much hard work in. We are South champions for 2019. It's a trophy and we're proud of that.

To all the players we thank each and everyone of ye for the work and effort ye have put in all year long.I and my selectors have enjoyed working with ye.Yer a great bunch of lads. Ye were outstanding from the beginning of the year all the ways to and including today and are so unlucky not to reach the County Hurling Final.

To my fellow selectors a huge thank you to Mike Mullane, Noel Brosnan And Jamie Lyons. It hasn't been easy picking teams but we did it and we won the south championship and were very unlucky today.

We Thank Our First Aider Lawrence Sexton For Been There All Year For The Players. Also a thank you to our water carriers.

To all our supporters who travelled today and all year long we thank ye all for shouting on the lads.
