What a fantastic day of football for our ๐๐ฟ๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฒ ๐จ๐ญ๐ฌ๐ at the ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐บ๐๐ ๐ช๐ฒ๐น๐ฑ๐ผ๐ป ๐ ๐ฒ๐บ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฎ๐น ๐ง๐ผ๐๐ฟ๐ป๐ฎ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ in Fossa, Kerry.
The boys were drawn in a very competitive qualifying group alongside ๐ฆ๐ฝ๐ฎ, ๐ ๐ถ๐น๐น๐๐ผ๐๐ป/๐๐ฎ๐๐๐น๐ฒ๐บ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ, ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐น๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ก๐ฎ ๐๐ฎ๐ฒ๐ถ๐น. They produced some brilliant football, recording wins over ๐ฆ๐ฝ๐ฎ, ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐น๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ก๐ฎ ๐๐ฎ๐ฒ๐ถ๐น, with their only defeat coming against Milltown/Castlemaine by the narrowest of margins โ just ๐ผ๐ป๐ฒ ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ถ๐ป๐.
Bruree finished ๐ฏ๐ฟ๐ฑ ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ด๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ฝ, missing out on second place on score difference, which saw us qualify for the ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ ๐ฆ๐ต๐ถ๐ฒ๐น๐ฑ.
In the quarter-final, we faced ๐๐๐ฎ๐ด๐ต ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฟ๐, where another excellent team performance secured a ๐ญ-๐ฒ ๐๐ผ ๐ฌ-๐ญ victory and a place in the semi-final.
That set up a cracking semi-final against ๐ก๐ฎ ๐ฃ๐ถ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ฎ๐ถ๐ด๐ต ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ถ๐บ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ธ. There was absolutely nothing between the sides, with the game finishing ๐ญ-๐ณ ๐๐ผ ๐ญ-๐ณ and going to sudden death, where the first score would decide the winner.
With everything on the line, it was ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ฅ๐๐ who got the vital score! ๐๐ค The boys got the better of Na Piarsaigh in a thrilling finish to book their place in the ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ ๐ฆ๐ต๐ถ๐ฒ๐น๐ฑ ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ฎ๐น against ๐ฆ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ป๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ก๐ฒ๐ ๐ฌ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ธ. ๐บ๐ธ
