Football success:
The glimmer of football silverware had not been seen in thirteen long years in Bruree, until last weekend. Our Junior B footballers brought the South Cup to Bruree after a brilliant victory over Ballylanders, at the foot of the Galtees in Kilbeheny.
The game was close until the end with Bruree edging it by a point with 2-9 to Ballylanders’ 2-8. Bruree’s teamwork and determination won out, however Ballylanders were more than worthy opponents.
Paddy Lynch and Jimmy O’Dea score prolifically to seal the win. This however, capped a great team display and means that Bruree are now unbeaten in three games in football and south champions.
